Cancellation Policy
As a courtesy to our other guests and our service providers, please notify the salon 48-hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Our cancellation fee IS being enforced for any cancellation, no-show, or reschedule with less than 48 hours notice, you will be charged 50% of your scheduled service. Any cancellation or no-shows with less than 24 hours notice will be charged 100% of your scheduled service. It will be charged to the credit card on file or added to the total of your next appointment.
Appointments are highly recommended, especially pre-booking your next appointment upon checkout. We offer a courtesy reminder text or email the day before your appointment.

Sick Policy
Please do not come to your appointment sick! (We both know when it’s not just allergies!)
I understand it’s out of everyone’s control and I try to be as flexible and understanding as possible. Coming to your appointment sick is not acceptable. I ask that you reschedule your appointment if you’ve had flu/covid/cold symptoms within 48 hours of your appointment.
Violation of this policy will mean termination of our professional relationship, without exception!
Eek! I’m Afraid!
We understand there is anxiety and nervousness for first time visitors, but due to board standards set by the state of Virginia and the limited amount of space, only one person may be in a service room at a time.
Services Policy
If you are not entirely satisfied with your color and cutting service, please call and schedule a complimentary redo within three days. The redo policy doesn’t cover a change in the style or color, it only covers an error made on the stylist’s part. Full service price applies after three days. All guarantees will be determined by the stylist. We do not offer refunds for any hair services.
RITUAL will not be liable nor redo hair color that has been done outside of our salon. Corrective color usually requires more than one service to achieve desired results. Because of the nature of home-coloring products, we cannot guarantee color services if the client has previously had color done outside of our salon.
Salon Etiquette & Children
RITUAL reserves the right to refuse service to any client for improper conduct, tardiness, no shows, or any other situation we deem inappropriate.
Our waiting area is cozy, and will only accommodate a few people. Please limit the number of people who are waiting for you during your appointment. Small children are not allowed in the salon at any time unless they are receiving a service. Children receiving a service cannot be left unattended in the salon. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We love children, but due to safety hazards present in our environment such as sharp implements and chemicals, we are unable to accommodate unattended children under the age of 12 in our salon. Nor do our facilities have the capacity to accommodate carriers and strollers.
Anyone under the age of 18 receiving a service for the first time must have a parent or guardian present at the initial appointment to give written consent. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but appreciate your understanding in this matter!
